So far, just a few DUI checkpoint locations have been announced for New Years Eve 2012. However, cops will be out in force with several DUI patrols. CHP is on Maximum Enforcement Period which means every available officer will be out on the freeways and state highways.
The Auto Club is offering it’s annual “Tipsy Tow” program which will tow your car home and drop you off for free. It’s available to members and non-members. Call 1-800-400-4222.
Metro is also providing free rides from 9pm until 2am on buses and trains.
