64 year old Dennis Holden is dead after a fatal accident on the 5 NORTH at Ortega Hwy in San Juan Capistrano.
The Encinitas resident was pronounced dead at the scene after he slammed in to the back of a tow truck that was in the right lane around 11am.
All lanes except for the carpool lane were closed for a couple hours for the investigation.
The driver of the tow truck was taken to Mission Hospital with minor injuries, according to the Orange County Register.
