Honda is now recalling over 600,000 cars for a faulty power steering hose.
In certain models, the power steering hose could deteriorate over time causing it to leak fluid. That may lead to loss of steering control and start a fire if the fluid hits the catalytic converter.
Initially, Honda was only recalling 56,000 Acura TL sedans but today added Honda Accord V-6s with model years ranging between 2003 and 2007.
The Acura owners got notice of the recall earlier this summer and the Accord owners will get their notice by the end of the month.
Honda says repairs will be made free of charge, however there is a shortage of parts that won’t be available until early next year.
