Update 8:57am
Cops have taken the pursuit suspect in to custody on the 101 SOUTH at Vine St – which is closed right now.
A female passenger is also in custody and being talked to.
Meanwhile, a panhandler is working the off-ramp and is oblivious to whats going on.
Update 8:55am
The pursuit suspect has pulled over to te right shoulder of the 101 SOUTH near Vine. The passenger is out of the car and now the driver is getting out as CHP performs a felony stop.

The police chase has now continued south on 101 through Universal City headed towards Hollywood

CHP is following a suspect driving an older model Mercedes on the 101 freeway through Sherman Oaks and Studio City.
KTLA Channel 5 is showing the car weaving in and out of moderate traffic.
