Update 12:22am
Angeles Crest Highway is open again after a a man drove off a cliff earlier.
There has been no update on the condition of the motorist who was rescued.

Crews have rescued a 50 year old man that drove his Mini Cooper off a cliff off Angeles Crest Hwy. KNBC Channel 4 reports that firefighters had to cut the roof off to get the guy out. He was able to give his name to rescuers and he is now at Huntington Memorial Hospital.

Angeles Crest Hwy (2) is closed after an accident about 20 miles north of La Canada Flintridge.
Reports came in around 8:30 of a vehicle plunging off the side of the cliff and dropping over 400 feet about 1 mile north of Green Ridge.
Search and rescue is on the scene right now attempting to go down and search for the victim.
CHP expects the road to reopen sometime after 10pm.
