1 7 year old Steven Nunez is dead after a fatal accident on Domenigoni Parkway in Menifee.
Police responded to the crash around 11pm on Friday, September 21. It appears Nunez was walking eastbound in a westbound lane of Domenigoni Parkway when he was struck by a driver headed westbound near Laguna Vista Dr. The driver did notice Nunez in lanes and attempted to avoid him but was unable to.
Nunez was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Domenigoni Parkway was closed for several hours for the investigation.
