23 year old Christopher Moala is dead after a fatal crash on Highway 62 in Joshua Tree.
Officials say he was heading westbound on 62 around 1:20am on Wednesday, September 19. Near Arizona Ave he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Scion and swerved off the road. The vehicle rolled over and caught fire.
Moala was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:34am.
Two passengers were taken by helicopter to nearby hospitals with unspecified injuries.
CHP is investigating this collision.
