101 NORTH (WEST) is closed at the 405 while crews fight a brush fire that broke out along the freeway.
Initially CHP got reports of a tree on fire from the along the 405 SOUTH to 101 SOUTH transition road. Soon it spread to the brush and several more trees.
It is possible this may be the result of a collision. LA Fire is reporting “several injuries” but it isn’t clear what they are from.
101 NORTH / WEST traffic is heavy from Van Nuys Blvd.
Lanes are expected to remain closed until 1am.
