One lane is open on the 5 SOUTH at the 138 in the Grapevine after an earlier fatal accident. There is talk of opening up the freeway around 11:30am.

Two people are dead after a fatal accident on the 5 SOUTH at the 138 in the Grapevine.
Six other people were injured and taken to hospitals.
The crash happened shortly after 5am. Details are sketchy but officials say that the vehicles were travelling southbound when they collided.
All four lanes of 5 SOUTH at the 138 have been closed for the clean up and investigation, but traffic is being allowed through on the right shoulder.
5 SOUTH traffic is jammed from Lebec Rd.
